Award winning Scarva village, renowned for its superb floral displays, will be the setting for this glorious family fun day featuring the Teddy Bears’ Picnic on
Thursday 12th August 2010
Family Entertainment (10am - 1pm)
Heatherbrook Silver band and costumed characters will meet and greet the children to take part in the day’s fun activities which will open with face painting, balloon modelling, Bouncy castle, Bungee Run and much more besides.
Fancy Dress Parade (10.30am - 10.45am)
Meet at Scarva Visitor Centre and join in the colourful fancy dress parade which will go alongside the Village Green to the bandstand where the Prizegiving will take place.
Fancy dress competition categories include:-
• Best Scarva in Bloom creation
Teddy Bears Picnic (12pm - 1pm)
Don’t forget to bring your favourite teddy or cuddly toy along with you when packing your family picnic and enjoy lunch on the Village Green with Pirate Ted and Country Ted.
Band Concert (10am and 12 noon)
One of the many highlights will be Heatherbrook Silver band performing a variety concert at the Victorian bandstand for everyone to enjoy.
Activities for Children (10am - 1pm)
Why not design and decorate your own shortbread with colourful icing and sweets or make your own plastacine model.
Rest and relax in the adjoining Scarva Visitor Centre which serve delicious homemade cakes, tea and coffee, overlooking the natural beauty of the canal and gardens. |
